Russian pianist Daniil Trifonov won the third place in the finals of the 15th Eurovision classical music youth contest in Vienna on May 14th. The 19-year-old’s performed Frederick Chopin’s Big Brilliant Polonaise in what was unanimously appreciated by the audience. The first and second places went to Slovenian flute player Eva-Nina Kozmus and Norwegian violinist Guro Cleven-Khagen, respectively.
